Gynecology surgery includes any surgical procedure that involves the organs and structure of the female pelvic region: the uterus, ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes, vagina and vulva. There are many reasons why a woman might need to undergo gynecology surgery. She may need diagnosis or treatment for a condition such as endometriosis, fibroids, polyps, ovarian cysts, cancer, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine prolapse or abnormal bleeding. Gynecology surgery can also be used for permanent birth control(tubal ligation). Laparoscopy and hysteroscopy are two of the most common minimally invasive gynecological surgical procedures to either diagnose a woman’s infertility or treat problems that cause infertility and miscarriage

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is minimally invasive surgery, that allows a surgeon to look at the pelvic organs by using a slender instrument called a laparoscope. Laparoscopy is used either to diagnose a condition or for treatment. The laparoscope is inserted through a small incision made inside the navel. Carbon dioxide gas is introduced into the abdominal-pelvic cavity so that visualization of the reproductive organs is possible. The laparoscope has a small camera and light source on the end. During laparoscopy, the surgeon inserts additional instruments such as probes, scissors, grasping instruments, biopsy forceps, and suture materials through two or three additional incisions. At the end of the procedure, the carbon dioxide gas is removed, and the incisions are sutured shut with a few small stitches. Laparoscopy is performed under general anaesthesia and generally completed in one to two hours. Laparoscopy is a less-invasive procedure than open abdominal surgery and allows for a quicker recovery with a lower risk of complications. Most patients go home the same day after procedure and return to work 3-4 days later.

Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves the placement of a small telescope through the cervix, directly into the uterine cavity. No incisions are required for hysteroscopy. It is used to diagnose the cause of infertility or repeated miscarriages, biopsy endometrial tissue, and to examine and remove uterine scarring, polyps, or small fibroids. Hysteroscopy is an outpatient procedure that is performed in an office or operating room under general anaesthesia and usually takes about 15-45 minutes to perform.

Gastric Sleeve
All around very professional staff and doctor. They walked me through every step regarding the treatment and what I had to do afterwards. I immediately lost my appetite on operation day and I am not even craving sweets or fast food since. I got advised on my diet by a professional dietitian and the diet is easy to follow. It has been only 2 weeks and I have dropped 10 pounds since the operation. Do not ever hesitate to get this operation done, I feel like I am born again !

Gastric Sleeve
I had the operation done at about a week ago at September. I got recommended gastric sleeve by a friend who got it done at segmed and doctor banli. His surgery was done 2 years ago and his health and weight is currently ideal. I was worried about covid but they take adequate precautions and it made me feel a lot better because this was the first time I ever had a surgery. So far I am feeling great, I am in touch with the dietitian and the psychologist. I wish I had it done sooner.

Gastric Bypass
In general I am really scared of doctors and operations but after talking to segmed staff and the doctor on whatsapp I've overcome my fear. They were very assuring and comforting thanks to their knowledge and sincerity. Even after a year I am still in touch with them. I dropped from 136 to 82 kg(21.4 stones to 13 stones) since the operation. Thanks guys !

Gastric Sleeve
About 2 years ago I had enough with diabetes and all the medication that come with it. I looked up a ton of clinics in turkey and decided to get it done after talking to other diabetic patients. The staff at the clinic were helpful and professional and the hotel was comfortable. The worst part is I could not eat enough Turkish food due to surgery ! The doctor and the staff were very confident with their success with diabetic patients and thankfully it worked for me as well. I don't have to deal it anymore.
